purpose of scented baby wipes?

I have always gone for um-scented (just like almost everything else i buy) ones without thinking much about it, but the other day was wondering what the purpose of the scented ones was. If you use scented baby wipes, why? And why do you like them? I am curious.

I have no idea. I've always gotten unscented as a precaution against rashes from the perfumes.

Because they smell nice. And they usually have stuff in them like shea butter, etc that other ones don't.

This. Plus it leaves baby smelling fresh and not poopy? Lol I use wipes all the time myself. I lerrrve scented wipes

I understand they smell good. That is quite obvious (well good is relative, i hate the smell of perfumes). But do they cover up the poop smell? Do they actually work to make diaper changes more pleasant?

I buy unscented, hypoallergenic everything because DS's skin is so sensetive. I guess the scented ones are just to make their tushies smell nice but IMO, they just contain more chemicals to irritate baby's skin.

! I've been buying the unscented Parent's choice wipes because I was worried LO would have a reaction to the perfumes too but recently I tried the scented ones. It didnt make him smell better or make the changing dirty diaper experience any more pleasant for me. It just felt weird using a wipe that smelled like cucumbers...hahaha

We have extremely sensitive skin in our family. We often have to use homemade cloth wipes for the babies. But scented things are out of the question. So I have never had the option to use scented things. So i am curious.

I dont only use wipes for changing diapers. Yes, they do make diaper changes more pleasant. The kind I use smell like soap. I love the smell of soap.

I guess they're supposed to cover up the poop smell, but as good as they smell they definitely don't do that.
