I always used an airtight glass container.

Mason jars and turkey bags.
You get turkey bags at the grocery store. Literally to cook turkeys in. You can't smell ANYTHING through them.

And I put mine in a ziploc, then in a pill container with a little bit of coffee grounds. Works pretty well.
