i dont think being a bigger breadwinner is has many men the figure head of the household. We had good friends and neighbors where the man was a SAHD and the woman made great money. while the conversation never came up, i think he was still considered "HOH."

Ours will probably be completely different than the traditional vows anyway because we're both atheist and I don't want one shred of religion present at my wedding.

Breadwinner was just one example.

What I'm saying is when each person does equal work, equal decision making, what have you-- and still the man is the HOH-- because he is a man and wants to feel like the HOH?

What about if its two men or two women ... whose the head of the household then? Or what if the man has a severe physical or mental disability?
