not sure if first PP period

posted 28th Nov
Well on saturday I'll be 9 weeks PP and yesterday I got what I think is my period. I do have a flow but it slowed down rapidly yesterday then it increased a lot last night. I am having NO cramps at all which is WEIRD for me and im passing a lot of clots. Thats why I'm like is this really my period because... It's so different from how they usually are. Also, I'm BF'ing so I didn't expect it so soon. I still haven't had my 6 week OB appointmrnt, I have an appt for the 10th so I thought I would ask. I don't know, It's just a strange period. I'll take it if it is and I dont have cramps lol

I dont get cramps anymore with my periods...thank goodness for kids! Seriously though i use to get horrible horrible cramps where i'd almost be crying. After having my 1st baby i didnt get cramps anymore. And my periods were different like they would be really heavy one minute then later in the day it would be almost stopped then pick back up again. I think its pretty normal. This time around after my 2nd baby it wasnt a heavy period at all.

well lets hope the no cramps thing stays! I always missed school or work on the first day of my period because they were so bad I was doubled over, puking or the other thing. Just only the first day that they were disabling to me

Im happily relieved knowing my periods are not horrible anymore. I use to feel so sick, horrible cramps and diarrhea. Now its like nothing lol

That's too bad you got your period back so early, but wonderful about the lack of cramps  .

I think after my first, my periods were pretty normal (I don't remember them being any different, but I only had four of them before I became pregnant with my second). Now, after my second, they are much different. I just had my third or fourth period and this is the first one that had any cramps at all (and they were significantly milder then they were before pregnancy). My periods are also so much shorter now (4 days instead of 7), it is awesome!

yesterday when I went to the washroom I swore really loudly and my husband came rushing to the bathroom door to make sure I was ok. Then I said I think I got my f'ing period! then I just heard him laughing his ass off.

9 weeks is very early when breastfeeding. Most women do not have a period until their babies start solid foods or sleeping through the night. My first born was 9 months old when my period returned and my second was 23 months old when I had a period (it was fantastic  ). I had read that 14 months was average, however my first was breastfed on a schedule and took a pacifier, so that's likely why it returned earlier (for me).

I still haven't gotten my period and mine are 6 mos... bf until they were just over 5 mos. I'm sure I'll get it soon! Anyways, it is unusual for post-partem bleeding to occur after 6 weeks so it's likely your period. That just sucks it came so soon for you.
