I think it's tacky to tell people to buy you gift cards.

Register but let them buy you what they want even if its not on there. Kinda tacky to ask for gift cards

babies r us is a waste of money, smurfs so expensive there, unless you have rich friends and family then i'd say go for it. i was registered at burlington coat factory and babies r us and no one bought anything from my babies r us registry. although not many people bought anything from burlington cuz stuff there goes out of stock and you can only purchase certain things in store and at certain stores. i would register at like walmart or target and ask for gift cards too.

Babies r us is a bit expensive for most people to buy stuff from for a babyshower. I would register for somewhere a bit less expensive just to give people an idea of what you need. Usually people will get what you need and then if they don't have time they'll just get you a giftcard.

I agree that it's tacky, and rude, to ask for gift cards.

Register. But let people buy you what THEY want to buy.
Also, put a price range of things on there if that makes sense. Like less expensive items and of course the bigger items you need. Give them options.
If you do happen to register at BRU, they have a thing called the VIB card. People can put money on that for you to get diapers and wipes. Plus BRU matches what ever someone puts on it, or 10% (I forgot which one). DON'T ask for gift cards. That's super tacky.
