Ack!

I'm complaining in this post, there's no question of w/e.
I've gained at least 10 lbs. (I stopped weighing myself the past few days lol) in mostly/all? water weight. I've been eating good, and in fact I have a worry that I may not be eating enough due to food aversion 75% of the day.
Anywho.. Due to my fingers getting pudgy I've had to cut off a ring my husband gave me, removed my engagement ring, removed my godmother's ring, and I'm gonna have to get my wedding ring cut off, too =S.

Thats horrible! have u tryed ever other possible thing? i would not wanna cut my wedding ring! maybe theres something u can do to get the swelling down? soak in salt water? butter?

I've tried everything I know of to get it off, I was really lucky thay my engagement ring was one size larger. My wedding ring is nothing wonderfully extravegant, just a simple small gold band.. but it means a lot to me. I'm hoping the water gain will suddenly/magically go away, but if it doesn't, esp. if it gets worse, I'll be getting it snipped off, too.

Omg. that sucks. i remember now when i was young probably 7 or 8 and i got a ring stuck on my finger, it hurt so bad and i thought they would have to cut my finger off to get off so i never told anyone. finally it broke off when i was at scandia after months. it was such relief.

Ohhh good ness honey! Did you just swell up like that outta nowhere? If so it could be a serious blook pressure issue! You might want to go see your doc ASAP! They always told me when I was pregnant that If my hands or face swelled up that it was pretty serious.

I'm sorry you had to cut your ring off. Luckily that's easily fixed. Good luck!!

Oh, geez - I didn't even think of it being a blood pressure or medical issue! Yeah, it just happened over the past week. I was at 165 to begin with, and the food aversion/nausea caused me to dip down below 160 for a while, then all of a sudden (well, with a few days) I shot well above 170. I haven't asked my doctor, my 1st appt. isn't until the 10th. I'll def. be calling Monday, though.

Actually I remember reading that if your hands/feet or face swell up suddenly to call the doctor or go to the hospital immediatly....
- did the swelling happen all of the sudden or gradually? ...i dont really know if you can tell if it happended gradually, ive havent had any bad swelling w this pregnancy.

it happened over a few days, def. not overnight.

but...I would call your dr's office monday and see what they think about all the swelling in your hands...it just doesn't seem right to me

i had to take my wedding rings off too (they were huge on me to begin with) but you should have that ring cut off really quick like! a friend of mine has a friend who had to get her finger amputated because she waited too long. i can't tell you how long or anything..

oh and you could have high blood pressure but it wouldn't be anything to serious. preeclampsia is pretty much unheard of as early as you are

i took my engagement ring off along time ago, because it was getting too tight on my finger, but i know where its at.
