What do you think of this mannquin? Are you "offended" by it? It was posted on my FB page and there's lots of discussion and I'm just curious to see what you all think about it.

I think that it's not surprising. I would be more surprised to learn that there aren't already mannequins like this. Regardless, I do not endorse normalising obesity. I can understand companies wanting to appeal to their demographic though. I am not offended by this, nor will I probably think about it again after this discussion, lol.

No, I'm not offended by it. The reality is, there are many overweight people in this world and companies need to manufacture clothing accordingly. You wouldn't want to put larger clothes on a smaller mannequin, it would look all droopy and loose.

Well if a store is selling plus size clothes they should probably put them on a plus size mannequin. The super skinny mannequins with prefect figures that they use right now certainly aren't "normal".

Not offended.
I don't see a reason to be offended.

How else are larger sized clothes supposed to be displayed?

Finally. I'm tired of looking at skinny ass ones. I need one closer to my weight, so i can see how the clothes will really look.

I don't think much of it, but I don't like the twig ones I mean why not make a normal size one not everybody is twig thin or obese so why not make one that is a normal size?? But eh we'll it gives people a example of what the cloths will look like on a bigger person

Idgaf, seems to me a more accurate depiction of what the clothes would look like on a non-plastic person.

Offended? No. It looks ridiculous though. Probably because its head is so tiny. I''ve seen plus sized mannequins and they don't look anything like this.

I'm more offended that it's head is too small for it's body. Lol. I see nothing wring with it. I would like to see more normal sized mannequins (not just overweight ones) instead of the tiny sized ones that can barely fit into a XS close.

They have larger mannequins in the plus section of forever 21, I've noticed them as of late in dept stores as well.
