*TMI* Sore after sex, anniversary vent..
posted 28th Nov
Well I am 27 weeks and 4 days, and I have always had a high sex drive.
DF has a low, almost non existent sex drive, so we really only have sex once a week.
The last two times we have had sex I am in so much pain afterwards, like my vagina is throbbing and aching, and it stings really bad like his cum is burning me.
It also feels like I need to pee really bad, but my bladder is empty.
It really sucks because its our anniversary today and I've been really sick (changing anti-depressants) have had nose bleeds, threw up everywhere, got blood through the bed, cant stand up etc.
The most we did is go to the doctors together.
Now I'm too scared to give him sex later on.
He gets home from work at midnight.
I feel smurffy like I ruined our special day and there's nothing I have to offer him
Except for the pocket watch I bought him as a gift. He gave me a locket, its beautiful.
I want to cook him a nice meal or something but I'm too sick.
I guess this is just a vent, but does anyone have any ideas on what I could do for him?
I just feel like smurf and like he deserves so much better.

It sounds like you may have a UTI which is very common while pregnancy and can be irritated by sex. I'd call or go see your doctor.
Also I'm sure he knows what you're going through and will completely understand not celebrating tonight. Maybe offer to celebrate a week from now or something?

The need to pee with an epmty bladder could be the sign of a UTI. That's what they feel like for me and it's ridiculously annoying.
You should always pee before and after sex to avoid getting UTIs.
And what you could do is order in his favourite take out, get some movies and cuddle up on the couch together and enjoy each others company.

I do have one, and my doctor tried two different antibiotics for 4 weeks that didn't work, so now he has told me to drink cranberry juice and wait it out

Sex can sometimes irritate the urethral opening and cause symptoms that mimic UTI pain or irritation. It can happen after grinding or some position where his pubic bone & hairs bumps up against your urethral opening more than usual.
But it could also be a real UTI
Drink some cranberry juice and see what happens after a couple of days

Thanks I will try that, I think he was going to grab a pizza on his way home anyway, but most take out places are closed here by ten pm.

I think you need a second opinion. I'm not trying to scare you but waiting it out can be dangerous to your baby. If the UTI goes untreated, it may lead to a kidney infection. Kidney infections may cause early labor and low birth weight. If your doctor treats a urinary tract infection early and properly, the UTI will not cause harm to your baby.

That's what I was thinking!!
Two different antibiotics, and then "wait it out" what?! That's how antibiotic resistance develops wtf

And kidney infections can kill you if left untreated. My first one I let go for about two months until I couldn't even walk from the pain just because I had no insurance. So I finally went to the hospital and got scolded by the docs because my kidneys were on the verge of shutting down. I was on Cipro for a month and it took several years for my kidneys to fully recover

Yeah I know what you mean, I saw another doctor and he straight out said he doesn't think its a UTI, and got me to take another urine test (my seventh urine test in 4 weeks), but he hasn't gotten back to me since then.
Its so annoying, I just want it all to go away.

I would get a second opinion. It sounds like UTI and the burning from the cum if it's inside you could have a yeast infection from the rounds of antibiotics.

That is a very good point.

Yep, I got a yeast infection and told my doctor and he said to put natural yoghurt in my vagina.
It was awkward and disgusting, but it worked.
I keep telling both doctors I'm in a lot of pain from this UTI, its like they don't care or just want to shut me up.
Or maybe they just aren't taking me seriously.
Especially since the urine tests showed E coli bacteria as the reason, then the next said it was a virus, then back to E coli etc.
So frustrated!!
