Screaming child with diaper changes???!
posted 28th Nov
My daughter is 17 months old, and screams and cries bloody murder with every diaper change. I could understand if she had bad diaper rash, which she does, *sometimes*, but 9 times out of 10, she doesn't....any other mommas experience this or maybe know why she is throwing such a fit??!

Yep we went through it. Just a phase she grew out of it when she potty trained. Try letting her wipe herself if its just pee or give her a toy to distract her.

I have to wrestle my son every time. He is only good when someone else is around. Like when we go somewhere like his friends house. Then he acts fine.

My DD just stopped crying when I changed her. Now I tell her to lay down, she lays down, and I change her. I don't know what brought the change on from crying to not crying, but it's a nice change. She's 18 months.

Mine is 12 months and its hit or miss when I change her diaper that she'll throw a fit. I usually have to wrestle with her and keep lying her back down, ugh

DD has been doing this since 13ish months. We use "changing time" only toys and books. These are things she only gets to play with/read while on the changing table and it works about 80% of the time.
