breathing or a fit?

When DD gets really worked up, for whatever reason (fighting sleep, impatient for food or something..etc) she does a kind of gasping thing. she coughs and then a raspy gasp type of thing. i'm sure most have seen the whooping cough commercial. it sounds EXACTLY like that when she's throwing a fit. *cough cough, sharp gasp* i've been saying since about 3 months that it sounds exactly like it and some have said it does a little. DH's cousin was over the other day and he pointed it out. he freaked out a bit at 1st. said it sounded just like it. i explained that she only does it when she's having a fit. could it still be something wrong with her breathing such as small air waves or something?

My daughter does that also when she is throwing a fit! But she will copy you when you do it back to her!

forgot to mention she just turned 6 months. she doesn't copy anyone much.

She was doing it around that age too... I'd say its normal IF she only does it when she's mad/ upset...

o ok. i've been wondering for a while if i should worry but everyone says its just her throwing a fit.
