If you have a water birth...

so I was going to birth at a birth center but i decided to go to this hospital instead that has a natural birthing floor when i can birth in the water if i want! its dedicated to drug free births.. ANYWHO...

weird question..... if you giving birth in the water and you poop when your pushing... what happens to it. lol does it just float around, does someone scoop it out? how embarressing was it???

I didn't have that issue but my MW recommends keeping a little fish tank net handy lol

I was just wondering this the other day. Me & SO were talking about it.

I was told midwifes clean it out asap whether its a water birth or on a bed etc . You dont evwn know its happend unless you ask (according to friends who have previously had this happen) i guess i may find out sometime this week ?!

I didn't poop. But in my birthing kit there was a little fish net that I would have used to scoop out.

Ive never had a water birth, much less a natural birth

Lol. Good question.

The hospital that I am delivering at has a similar set up for natural and water births. I am excited about it   I never thought about pooping. And I did with Evan. So.... Lol.
