It's crazy how the "guidelines" are so different in different regions. I can't imagine giving my kid that stuff at 6 months. We EBF for almost 7 months then introduced whole organic homemade foods after that. My DD still doesn't drink cows milk. She still nurses though.

Medically, an infants stomach really can't handle red meats. Especially if she isn't really eating that much in solids to begin with.

I am a SAHM and had the luxury of being able to make all my own baby food. Not everyone can or chooses to. I am not about to tell a mother that feeds her child Gerber foods that she is feeding her baby something I wouldn't feed my dog. I tend to not be that judgemental or snarky. That is ok if you want to be. I guess differences in personality is what makes this world go round

And I am talking personal choices. I never told her to not feed her baby solids, or anything. I told her to try and get her drink the formula and gave her a list of foods that are loaded with iron since milk is not ironed fortified. I personally no would not feed my kid jarred foods my personal choice.

But its not hard to shred up chicken or a roast when you are eating it and feed it to a child who is old enough to eat it. I am not saying she has too. Our guidelines are way different thats fine. But there is no way I would not feed my baby real food.

I am not being judgemental at all. I am far from that. But I can be if you want me too.?

Well Bryelle had a sore throat and is now on antibiotics (again) and her pedi told me its ok if she's not drinking formula (or anything else) as long as she is eating.... I don't agree with that 100% but hopefully the antibiotics work and she's back to her formula drinking self! Thanks for all the suggestions and input ladies!

Great news. The sucking is probably what was hard on her. Hoping she has made a full recovery!

Oh yeah she's doing fine now, drinking her formula again like a champ! :-)
