You know, I've been through some very similar smurf. And just taking happy pills aren't going to fix it. This is gonna make me sound like some crazy new-age hippy or something, but I swear to god: meditation, mindfulness, study, cannabis.

Try just emptying your mind at least once a day for like 5 minutes, and increase it over time. Think of nothing but a white screen. When you get good enough at it, you can make panic attacks and mood swings disappear completely.

Be mindful of what you're surrounding yourself in and what you're putting in your body. When I eat well I feel happier. Think raw fruits and vegetables, yogurt, whole grains, etc.

Study: read poetry (not depressing poetry-think like existential poetry) or self-help books to center yourself. My favorites are Rumi and Kahlil Gibran. I have their entire works on pdf if you want them.

And cannabis.   Cured my post-traumatic stress disorder from when I was assaulted. I used to not be able to leave the house. It's not something to have around the kid, but after she goes to bed feel free. And hey - it's legal for recreational use in 2 states now. Not long until the rest of the country follows suit.

So there's my two cents. Might not help at all. But then it might help a little, so...you know!

Generally self-help books are like a giant literary black hole.   But I've found a couple that are pretty good. One that's called "the dance of anger" really helped me out. But more than that, poets like Kahlil Gibran are fantastic. Like, check this out:

When you are joyous, look deep into your heart and you shall find it is only that which has given you sorrow that is giving you joy.

When you are sorrowful look again in your heart, and you shall see that in truth you are weeping for that which has been your delight.

Some of you say, "Joy is greater than sorrow," and others say, "Nay, sorrow is the greater."

But I say unto you, they are inseparable.

Together they come, and when one sits alone with you at your board, remember that the other is asleep upon your bed.

Verily you are suspended like scales between your sorrow and your joy.

Only when you are empty are you at standstill and balanced.
-Kahlil Gibran

Other books I recommend...Zen Mind, Beginner's Mind. And this cute one called The Tao of Pooh.

I am on the mirena. I hate it, but I can't have another baby right now and I get pregnant if I mans penis comes within a inch of my vagina even if his whole body is wearing a condom lol

I plan on taking it out this time next year after I am married. I have always had a sleep problem though. My mom says even when I was a kid I could never sleep. The only thing that helped with that is VERY VERY high doses of seroquel... that smurf knocked me out, but I don't think I could wake up on that in the middle of the night so thats not a good idea with a 4 year old lol

Maybe I should just make myself have sex, I know SO would love it...

Eh. It won't be satisfying for either of you if you just make yourself have sex. Come on girl. I would see a doctor. Lack of libido is a total legitimate reason to see the lady doc. And the copper IUD has no effect whatsoever on libido...cause it uses zero hormones.   I think it's called paraguard?

He probably wouldn't care if I sat there doing nothing lol seriously. I have 0 sex drive and I still manage to have sex 2-3 times a week. IDK how I do it lol.

I have told the obgyn and there is nothing they can tell me. I just don;t want to...

I am not sure...
I have been struggling with depression for about 10 years...
I self mutilated for the majority of those 10 years and have stopped for quite awhile now(most of my daughters life).
The sex drive I could see being from the mirena. The depression and sleep is a long term problem.

Dude. Yes it is. Get off that smurf.   I was on mirena and wanted nothing to do with sex. Then I got off of it because it also made me gain weight and I was just not cool with it. As soon as the hormones were out of my system, like a month later, I was back to my normal self again. The doctors don't know how all of these hormones effect our bodies yet. My sister is getting her PhD in biotechnology and she was the one who said to try getting off of it, because who knows? She was right man. But everyone is different too, and medicines effect all of us differently.

I've struggled with severe depression since I was.... 14, and self mutilated as well. I'm only 18 right now, but still struggle with depression and bipolar mood swings and I have a five month old:/ Since the mirena seems like every day is different with my moods and depression :/.
