What's wrong with me?

posted 27th Nov
For the past week I have been having dizzy spells.

The only other time I have had a dizzy spell was a few years ago. It was non stop, and I guess you could say I would have been equivalent to that of a high school girl only drinking one beer, and trying to pass off complete drunkenness by constantly falling all over the place.

Anyways, I was put on anti dizzy meds, and stopped taking them once the dizziness stopped.

Fast forward 2 years later to today. For the past week I haven't felt like myself. I feel almost wigged out. My dizzy spells, even though they aren't as bad as what they were a few years ago, its still enough to catch my attention.

They mainly happen when I lay down. At least that's when they're the worst. I feel it throughout the day, but only once or twice have I had to grab onto something to keep my balance. I had DH take my blood pressure just recently to see what was going on.

He took it once while I was standing up.. He said it was normal. Once while I was sitting down.. Again, normal. The third time when I laid down, it was lower than usual. Not dangerously lower, but it did take him a minute to get the cuff on my arm, and by the time he had pumped it, the dizziness nearly subsided.

So. I am laying there talking to him, and I happen to glance at the waterfall painting hanging on our wall behind him, and the white trim border the frame itself rests on, was moving.

What the hell? So now I am hallucinating?

I am not on any meds, I am not sick, I haven't been doing anything differently than what I normally do. Has anyone else experienced something like this?
What the hell is going on with me?

Could it be your ears? I was having problems with dizziness about 2 months ago, and the doc gave me some excersizes to "reset" the stones in my inner ear.

Not that I know of. I mean, It doesn't feel like there is something wrong with my ears. Though my TMJ has been more noticeable and more painful lately. I figured it was because of the weather change though.

I didn't think it was my ears either. I have very bad hearing, and get very frequent ear infections. I almost always hear someone like they are in a tunnel. When I was getting the dizzy spells, my ears were fine, no infection, no tunnel hearing. I did the excersizes and the difference was amazing. I will google to see what they were, because I threw the paper out. He had me on meclizine for the dizziness and it didn't work. The excersizes were last resort.

ETA-it was callec the Eppley Maneuver.

I will keep that in mind, and see if I can find somewhere to learn what to do.

I have had hearing problems since I was young. (Toddler age). I am 1/2 deaf.

Thank you!
