Moms who selectively vaccinate.....

What vaccinations/shots (vit k?) do you feel are important and why? Just curious to hear some different sides because I'm currently deciding. Which ones are you TOTALLY against?

At this point I'm against Hep B, Varicella, Rotavirus, MMR, and leaning towards not doing the Polio. Still trying to decide others :/

The only ones I'm against are the chicken pox and flu vaccine. All others will more than likely be followed through with.

Vit k is useless IMO.

Its for a blood condition that is super rare.

And shoving a needle into my newborn without testing (so in other words for no reason) is bogus.

Delay or following the schedule?

I'm against flu shots too. Neither me nor LO have ever had it nor have we had the flu.

We are following the schedule from Dr. Sears. She will get them all, but very spread out. We are saving hep B for when she is a teen.. Also chicken pox will wait.. We are hoping she gets it before she goes to school.

I don't vaccinate but if I did I'd refuse the dtap, smurfs evil.

Also, they have oral vitamin k.

I'm not really against any of them. I just prefer to delay ALL vaccine's.

I'll probably follow schedule. I haven't looked much into that, though (delaying and following schedule). So I can't say 100%.

And same with me. Never had the shot... never had the flu. I don't see the point in injecting someone with the dead virus if they may never have it.

Before i looked into vaccines. My son had that one at his 3month check up. 3mins after he broke out in this suspicious rash all over his legs. NEVER AGAIN.

Yea I forgot to add that to my "not doing" list. She won't have anything as a newborn including the arithromycin eye crap.....I told my doctor I don't have chlamydia or anything so there's no need and he tried to tell me "well just because you have clean paps doesn't mean you couldn't have chlamydia..." :/ yeah okay doc. Nice try, but it's not happening. I told him I didn't want it to interfere with bonding at the hospital and he said "try can only see shapes then anyways." we'll guess what? Now she will see not so blurry shapes with her clean gunk free eyes

I'm doing that with hep b as well.

We don't vaccinate at all. I am okay with a liquid vitamin K after birth though.

I was t doing vitamin k but then I had a c section at 37 weeks and changes my mind and had it

I refused the rotovirus at her 6mo check up bc she gets awful tummy issues with it. I also refused the HepB when she was born. I saw no reason to give my less than 24 hour old infant a vaccine for something she was at zero risk of contracting. Neither I, nor my husband have the disease and we are both vaccinated against it. I will do it at some point, but I see no point to it now. I also refuse the flu shot. I have never had the shot, and have never had the flu.... and the flu vaccine is not 100%. They guess each year what strain of flu will be in that season and it does not protect against all strains. I will also likely delay or even refuse the chicken pox as it is not a deadly disease. We all had chicken pox as kids and we are fine. I will also likely delay MMR bc of all the horror stories I have heard about it. I am not against vaccines by any means, but I will do them on my terms and when I deem them necessary.

If I did vaccinate, there's no way in hell she would be getting the DTaP, Hep B, chicken pox or flu. DTaP is the devil, other 3 are useless.
