I don't know what to do...my 7 month old cries and screams f

posted 27th Nov
She's perfectly fine after waking up but she often cries and screams through out the day..I'm sure it's normal but I don't know what to do..It's so piercing (I have sensitive hearing) that it upsets me and all I want to do is get away from it..I put her in her pack and play with her little toys where she often cries and falls to sleep or just cries on...I am tired of putting her in her pack n play because I feel like I'm giving up on her but I can't help it. I didn't have much experience with infant when I got pregnant so I kinda fell into something and hoped it'd all come naturally..don't get me wrong most of it has just things like this where I don't know what to do. What is an average day for a 7 month old?

When dd was 7 months she only cried when she was hungry.. Do you play with her? Read her books? Crying all day doesn't sound normal to me at 7 months

Is her tummy hard? If it is It could be colic.

Whats she doing when she starts to scream?

My LO screams when shes bored, and putting her in her pack and play would only make it worse.

My 5 month old is going through this and he has a cold. Maybe it's that or teething.

babies have a reason for crying. I wouldn't just put her in the pack and play and walk away. have you checked for teething? Does she have a tummy ache? Is she hungry? wet? poopy? does she just want to cuddle? Does she want to play? sometimes baby's just want mom or dad.
babies cry. they can't talk to tell you what they want. I hope she's not in there just crying for 20 min or more.

Well there you go. You can't do anything but wait it out and comfort her to the best of your ability. If you're really frustrated, there is nothing wrong with putting her in the pack and play but that shouldn't be your automatic response. She's in pain and she needs you.

Of course I don't put her in there as the automatic response..it's only when I get to the point where I don't know what to do and I can't handle the screams. I was just searching for other methods or anything that I haven't tried..thanks for all the help

Just play it with the sound on.

Is she maybe tired? My LO acts a bit like that after we've been playing and she's tired but can't put herself to sleep.

Thank you everyone !!

Also She has a habit of starting to whine after her bottle is done..she's on 8 oz ..this happens about 8 out of 10 times could she still be hungry or just whining because she has nothing to suck on?
