Helping a miscarriage along

Please forgive me if this isn't the appropriate forum, I honestly couldn't decide WHERE to put this. Does anyone know of ways to "help" a miscarriage along? Long story short I am going to miscarry at some point. For days now I have been bleeding off and on, but nothing more than some blood, then nothing besides spotting and severe cramps. From previous experience I know there is a bloody mess in my near future so I have been avoiding things that will leave me in a not so pleasant situation, for instance grocery shopping, or running any kind of errands. But, I also cannot keep putting life on hold for it to happen. And honestly, losing a pregnancy sucks enough, having it drag out for a week or longer makes it suck even more. It's like this impending doom over my damn head and I just want it over and done with  

Have u had an u/s to confirm? Maybe you had some
Sort of placenta issue that's healing and everything will be fine? My friend was bleeding and her baby is doing great. something happened to the placenta but it healed. I bleed because of my previa. So maybe it's something like that?

Nah, my levels are plummeting. No hope is left   That's what we were hoping for over the weekend. Sono showed absolutely nothing (no biggie for 5-6 weeks) but my levels were only 895. Yesterday they were only at 400. So, it's definitely a loss

Thank you. I think this is the worst part of a miscarriage, the in between. Knowing it's a loss, but it hasn't been lost yet, kwim? It's like torture just waiting.

other than a D&C, no, I don't think so.

I'm so sorry (about the diaper comments). I had no idea you were pg.  

I m/c my first pregnancy and had a D&C. They knocked me out for it. If I ever m/c again, I would do the D&C again. It just "gets it over with" and they make sure everything is "out" so that there is minimal risk of infection. Have you asked about that at all?

I don't know if it's a good idea, but could you request a D&C?

My first one I waited it out to do all natural and it took about a week, but I was almost 14 weeks. And, don't be sorry   I haven't seen them yet, but I bet it isn't anything to be sorry over. I have an appointment with the midwife Friday, but I am really hoping it happens before then.

That's what I was wanting, but they wouldn't give me anything in the hospital. To me, it seems like it would be a hell of a lot easier

I'm sorry to hear that. Maybe ask your OB? She got them from her midwife.

Ugh. Tears.

Motrin/Asprin may help, or large volumes of vitamin C. The only real fool-proof is the D&C though.
