I was told I had IBS because I felt nauseas after EVERYTHING I ate. Turns out it was just soda. Particularly diet coke. Haven't had a soda in 3 years and my "IBS" is gone. Take a close look at your diet

whenever I am really nervous about something i have to rush to the bathroom a hundred times.
i had the worst cramps that would wake me up at night.
almost anything i ate when it is bad will have me rushing to the bathroom.
i got diagnosed by going to my regular doc about it and they referred me to a gastro doc who did a scope to rule out other problems... which sucked because you have to take that stuff to clear out your system... but it was worth it cause i got some hard core meds that really help a whole lot.. (none of the regular stuff that they would normally give did anything for me)
im happy right now though because i havnt had any problems since i got pregnant. it will probably come back after i deliver though.
you would also know that your symptoms didnt only come after you had dairy. ibs is generally diagnosed by ruling out everything else that is more severe and then trying medication to see if it helps the problem.

I can only drink water and lemonade because of my kidneys and I eat very healthy.

That is what I have, I've always gotten random stomach pains but thought it may be from anxiety but for the past couple years I get crazy stomach cramps and diarrhea and now it seems to happen more frequently.

I thought I might have it, then I cut out gluten. That was my problem. It fixed the issue! I've heard a lot of people who think they have IBS often actually either have a gluten intolerance, or at least gluten makes it worse.

So is IBS related to nervousness and anxiety?

That's what I had. It probably is from stress which is the main cause of IBS

Always. I actually know when it's going to come now becuase i know my stress triggers for it so I try to pre-calm myself down about things that I know are going to have me in the bathroom instead of doing what I need to be doing.

Oh I understand. I'm about a year GF and it's hard, but it was a GREAT choice. It turns out I also have fibromyalgia and some autoimmune issues, so I think I probably have celiac (never tested). I think it's up to like 20% of people have some intolerance to gluten. It's hard to cut it out, but if you do it for a month, or 6 weeks, it's pretty easy to see if it was causing you trouble,. You can also get a blood test, but there are a lot of false negatives and it only checks for celiac, and a LOT of people have intoelrances without having celiac.
