Growth spurt or deeper?

posted 27th Nov
Alright DS has been "off" for about a month now. A month ago he got the stomach flu and ever since then he hasn't been himself. For about a week he was vomitting, lethargic, had diahreah, no appetite, and a fever.

The fever, vomitting, and diahreah are gone now but he still is pretty lethargic and doesn't eat much at all. Which is completely unlike him. Since he became mobile he's been a ball of energy just buzzing through the house. He also ate like he had a bottomless pit for a stomach. That has all changed! He eats maybe one small meal a day adn that is IF he eats. He lays around all day doing pretty much nothing. Sometimes he'll perk up and run around for an hour or two but that's it.

He's sluggish, always tired, hardly eats. Making him a doctors appointment for tomorrow to discuss this all with his pediatrician, but I am starting to become a bit concerned. Someone mentioned it being a growth spurt and his over protective papa said it could be as serious as cancer.

Has anyone else's toddlers done this?

Children often are scared of eating much after having a stomach bug. I couldn't get my daughter to eat for a couple weeks after she got better. Shes normally a bottomless pit also, often eating more than even me. Less food means less energy so that could explain the sluggishness. The stomach flu can be a bit traumatizing especially for young children.

This! About a year ago DD had a pretty bad stomach bug and i couldn't get her to eat at all, finally one day my mom got me this turkey, cheese and crackers platter and DD said she wanted some. She ate almost the whole thing and that's all she ate for a few days before she felt comfortable enough to eat other things.

Yep, exactly the same thing happened to my daughter for a good few weeks. It's been weeks since she got better and she still won't eat some of her fav things, I'm sure she still is afraid.
