Similac or enfamil?

posted 27th Nov
Which one do you prefer? and why? I have always used similac, but I seem to be getting tons of coupons in the mail for enfamil and I was just wondering what were others thoughts on the formula.

Just depends on what baby uses best.
We had to use Similac for my son because he was premature and was put on Neosure.

Still <3 your avi, lol

and I agree, whatever is best for YOUR baby. Similac has always been best for my kids.

With my oldest, it was Similac. With my second we had WIC and it was Good Start. With my third, we used the Walmart Parent's Choice brand. With my youngest, we use Similac for Spit-Up (per her pediatrician's recommendation).

Did the similac for spit up actually help?

Yes   She's been on it since she was about 2 weeks old. She had silent reflux...it wouldn't actually come up, but you could hear it. And she'd wake up sputtering and have a stuffy nose. Since about 2 weeks after we made the switch, she's done so much better. The only time she has any issues is if she isn't burped well enough. But it's thicker than regular formula and it's made with the Similac Sensitive (it started out as Similac Sensitive for Spit-Up and was in an orange can, but had the "for Spit-Up" part in green). We're really happy with it (though it does cost more).

Do you still use it? I have some of the orange can if you can use them. A full size & a travel size

No, we only use the green can. It's the same formula, but it has rice starch to thicken it, which is what she needs.
