jabs?!

DD was was supposed to have her eight week jabs two weeks ago but the nurse isn't in at our surgery until tomorrow -.- anyway, what am I to expect? As in, how many injections, what might she be like afterwards etc?

Watching.. my baby has hers on friday and I know I'm going to feel like a monster if she cries  
From what I've heard it's 2 needles, one in each thigh?

Idk if its the same in the UK but here it was two pokes in one thigh and one in the other. 3 total.

I don't know about there, but here, my DD had two shots in one leg and one shot in the other. They wanted to give her an oral vaccine, but I refused it until 4 months.

I'm not sure? I don't know if all vaccines are given at the same time frame as they are in the US and it also depends on if you're picking and choosing which vaccines to give and when.

Here it's 2-3 pokes, and their legs get stiff, kind of crabby too. That's just my kids though. I pre-medicate for shots so they don't get achey, but it's done by weight so you can pre-medicate until you know weight and how much to give unless you call ahead.

Apparently they can get a bit of a temp from them, tho', so I'd get some Calpol ready just in case!

DD got 6 vaccines at 2 months. They use combo shots though so it was 3 pokes and then an oral.

I would give DD Motrin or Tylenol about a half hour before the appointment. I can't remember exactly how many shots. It was 2 or 3. Anyways, of course they're going to be upset after and may run a bit of a temp.
