Which did you choose to do for your child(ren)?
Not wanting this to be a debate about which is better, just curious what everyone else chose and if you would like to share why you chose to do so.

K was FF.
M was BF exclusively for 6 months and then we supplemented some formula (had to get on meds that I couldnt BF on).

I formula fed my son and am doing the same with my baby now. I wanted to breastfeed my son but when he was born and they asked me i chickened out. Same with my daughter, i really wanted to try this time around but chickened out.

I breastfed for 4 weeks. Then I had to switch to formula because I was unable to pump enough milk to save up for daycare..sucks! But oh well

I FF simply because I didn't know enough information about BF. However, I'll still probably FF with my next too.

I BF with my first for about 6 weeks but couldn't pump enough for him to have so I could work, and with my second it only lasted about 4 weeks with the BFing because one of my nipples swelled to bigger than a quarter. It hurt so bad, but I didn't have any help with anything, so I couldn't continue.

I tried for 6 days but my milk supply did not come in until 9 days. He was 10.1lb at birth and I was starving him and had to come to a decision.
Would loved to have been more successful, but sometimes things are not meant to be. If I had another one, thinking I would like to try again.

The plan was to BF&pump. It only lasted six days, DS wouldn't latch & I was unable to pump enough. DS's NICU doctor said he wouldn't discharge him until he started gaining weight so we started giving formula only.

I BF for 8 months with occasional formula and then weaned her after she got teeth in and started biting me. I wish I would have BF longer though. I really missed it after it was gone. She got formula when I was at college or working but BF other than that. I tried to pump but I never got very much so we had to supplement.

I did all of it! lol I started out breast feeding, then I got mastitis really bad and breast fed and pumped and gave in a bottle then I had to go to formula cause the infection just wouldn't go away and I was miserable (fever of 101.7 for FOUR days) once I stopped breast feeding and dried up the infection went away and my son has done GREAT on formula I feel like I've given him all I can! hahahahaha

i tried bf and had 5 lactation consultants... DD wasnt getting enough food so we started doing formula and breast milk... after a long 2 weeks of dd not getting enough because my nipples were pierced and i just couldnt make enough i switched to formula and it was the best decision i ever made. i know breast is best but i had every problem imaginable. when i should have been bonding with dd i was trying to pump, make formula and breast feed and had to every 2 hours because of jaundice. if we have anymore babies im going straight to formula.

I ebf my son. Im a SAHM so he has only had a bottle like 3 times with pumped milk. I chose bf because i wanted to have that bond with him

With each child, I started out EBF, but for some reason (whether I have a crappy letdown reflex or something else is abnormal) my babies could never get to my milk. They'd get less than an ounce combined from both breasts. With my baby, she wanted to be held all the time in the very early days and you can't do that and pump to get supply up at the same time. Pumping every 2 hours was impossible and I was lucky if I got to pump twice a day.
So after 8 weeks of supplementing with my first, a week of trying to breastfeed my second, 6 weeks of supplementing with my third (he ended up losing his latch very early on), and 5 weeks of supplementing with this baby, I switched everyone over exclusively to formula. They've all been healthy, happy, and right where they should be.

I ebf my daughter until 5 months, and then I slowly introduced formula. That was a month ago. She is now almost 6 months and is completely off of the boob except for during the night.
My main reason for doing so is because I am going back to work soon and pumping/working just isn't for me.
