I wouldn't be upset or disappointed. I wouldn't be happy either. As long as my child is happy then I couldn't care less about their sexual orientation. My three year old loves Tinkerbell(I think its a crush and not because he's gay) and I let him wear Tinkerbell shirts and he has a Tinkerbell doll that he carries everywhere. I've gotten comments about why I am embracing my child to be gay.

I'm a Christian too...Only God can judge people and make that decision...We will never know another's fate. My Dad is gay and he goes to church....I look at it the same as I do eating seafood....those "abominations" are right next to eachother in the Bible.

I would be a bit bummed that I wouldnt have any biological grandchildren, but I wouldnt let it known and just hope he would be willing to adopt with his husband.

Here's my take on that.

I believe unrepentant sinners go to hell. Sin is sin. I think if the only person left on earth when Christ died for our sons was gay....Christ still would have died to show His deep love for us.


As for how I'd feel. I don't know, that's about as honest as I can be. My children will always be my children, that's the only thing I know for sure.

anyone who judges their child on who they fall in love with shouldn't be able to have children....I mean, that seems to be what breaks a parents "unconditional love" for a child and that would not stand in my house. My child could be gay, straight, a man trapped in a woman's body or vise versa and it wouldn't change the way I feel about my kids. Who they fall in love with is not my decision and I would never force anything on them...

Why?

I don't care if either of my kids were gay or lesbian. They are my babies, always will be. My love for them is unconditional. I find it suck and disgusting when parents treat their children like smurf because of who they are. Sorry excuses for mothers and fathers.

Agreed.


Certainly, when saved, our behaviors/hearts should change...and "good works" should come because of those changes...but those good things don't do a single thing to get us into Heaven. It has zero to do with us.

Christians believe that God made everybody. Well if God made someone gay, how does he not accept his great works since he is the almighty one?

Its an "abomination" which means " against culture"... there are a lot of abominations in the Bible that I don't believe apply to present day. But honestly I can't see love as sin in anyway...I think you can interpret the Bible anyway you please

i would accept him with open arms and love him as though he was straight. who am i to judge him and have my love change for him based on who he decides to love? i will love him unconditionally no matter what. his sexualality is not something that should define how i love him
