It's bad to go over due, just as it is to be early. That's why you are suppose to be closely monitored when you're overdue. Placenta will start to break down and baby can poop in utero.

If you're legitimately overdue. Some women think they are overdue and aren't yet.

I was induced at 10 days past my due date.

My daughter's skin was peeling and red. it looked sore like a sunburn.
her cord was wrapped twice around her neck and she was half blue when she came out.
She had breathing problems from being in too long. and all the nurses said she was very lucky to still be alive, but called her their over baked ham.

if you are over due, you should be induced. there is NO reason to chance it.

The lady who went 4 weeks past or however long it was, was stupid and foolish and she very well could have lost her baby.

Birth is going to be scary and it will hurt. I have had a failed natural birth and I can tell you , it's NOT in the least bit worth it.

your baby will come out just as awake and alive and ready to eat wether you get drugs or not.

Don't put yourself through all that unnecessary agony and risk your babies life just so you can say you did it drug free. I doesn't make you a hero or any more of a mom.

What happeend with your daughter was unfortunate, but it is NOT the norm.

I know birth will hurt, and I know I can handle the pain, but it is NOT scary in the least.

Our bodies are meant to give birth - our bodies know what to do. Ive had a natural birth, an induced birth with an epi and I also birthed after going in to labour naturally, with an epi - so I have evidence that (chances are) everything will turn out alright - but the more I research and the more I educate myself, the more I know that I dont need all the intervention that is so common now.

Epidurals can do awful things to people, and there is no way of knowing if its going to happen to you or not - its a chance you take. I would rather not take that chance. Not because I want to be hero for doing it natually, but because I have faith in my body, faith in my mind, and faith in my baby that we can do it without all the risks.

youre really just a bitch in every thread you post in. nothing positive to say almost ever.

and check your reference on the drug and alertness part. just because you are anti-natural, doesn't mean those who choose to be are wrong and stupid.

That's what happened with me at 41 weeks 1 day. Except baby pooped in me during labor i guess he was getting stressed out from the contractions. They noticed it when they broke my water.

Mine pooped in utero as well, from stress. They told me I was early, I knew I wasn't. She measured over 40 weeks. So sometimes late babies are very late babies.
