Follow up appt after d&c

Do they just do a pap smear or what I know they need to check for infection so is that all they will do I'm asking cause I have to bring ym 2 kids with me and I'm just curious what the typical appt consist of

I didn't need a d&c but at my follow up appointment after my miscarriage they did an ultrasound just to make sure everything was gone. Then they talked to me about birth control in case I wanted any. They then told me to wait at least one period is start trying again. Sorry for your loss.

Ok so either way expect to undress for an exam haha and thanks it's a horrible thing but I have my amazing family to help me through this

Pretty much. lol I hated having the miscarriage but I felt relieved after my appointment to know everything was gone & things could finally start going back to normal. Are you going to try again?

Same here that's why I choose to have the d&c I just couldn't handel knowing my baby was just gone inside me or the thought of waiting for my body to take care of it specially since it didn't know and had been 2 weeks. Yes we do plan to ttc again but I'm kinda at the point where I'm scared ima stress myself by ttc since this one took 6 months which is crazy long for my pregnancies so I think were just gunna leave it to when and if it happens it happens

I had my miscarriage in January of 2010, I got my first period in February & we started tying after that. I got pregnant in April! I've heard you are extra fertile after a miscarriage so you may get pregnant sooner.

I'd like to get pregnant soon but scared of something happening again cause I never thought it'd happen to me that now since it has I'm so nervous and scared of getting pregnant again but I so want it

My doctor told me most woman will have a miscarriage during their child bearing years, some don't even know it! My miscarriage was my first pregnancy so he said it was good that we know I can get pregnant & unless there is something medically wrong with me it shouldn't happen again.
