So my coworker and supervisor have been butting heads. Well he just gave her papers for the FMLA leave, with the box checked that employee has serious health issues. Well now she is talking about contacting a lawyer and saying that legally he will have to do ALL employees the same way. And pointed out that I need to cover my ass with maternity leave coming up..... She is going to make sure everyone suffers. He is trying to run her out. She doesn't want to be here but can't get hired any where else because she is 59, very negative and has a bad rep.
What did she mean I should file for FMLA?

Well, yes you should fill out the paperwork for FMLA and site maternity as the need.

FMLA is in place to secure your position in your medically-needed absence.

It's the family medical leave thing. You are guaranteed 12 weeks where your employer has to hold your job for you, but you don't get paid unless you have vacation/sick leave.

He has to check a box for FMLA. Yours will be for maternity/PP.

If she has health issues & needs FMLA then he had to check that box. There has to be a reason why the employee needs FMLA.

Oh gotcha. I know my supervisor wouldn't do this to me. But they never got along because she talked smurf about him and doesn't do her job. I think he did it to upset her which is has. She's even threatening a lawsuit under discremination.

She has been taking off pretty often for doctors appts. before thanksgiving break went to the er due to chest pains. She said it was just her blood pressure. It all started when he let her know her Evaluation. Shes talking about noting Everyones time

The issues that your co worker and supervisor have should just be between them
That's your co workers problem if she isn't doing her job
Just worry about you and make sure you're doing your job and following all the guidelines and rules at your job

If only it were that simple. My supervisor is telling me everything. And my coworker is too. They are INVOLVING ME. My coworker also is going to note everyones time. When people arrive, take off sick etc. She is going to drag everyone down with them,
