I've had both. Nuvaring for 2 years and loved it. Mirena for 3 months. I'm iffy still. Nuvaring rubbed my boyfriend a little raw during sex. If it wasn't so expensive each month (mine makes it 50) I'd be on it. 2 weeks off and I was pregnant. Super nervous about when we do TTC.

Nope. I did everything it asked right on time. I am OCD about following directions. It just failed. No medicines, etc.

Jeeze...that sucks...I was really swaying more towards the nuva ring but I just really can't afford to get pregnant again for a long time. We're doing good with the condoms but I miss the real sex lol maybe I should make another poll to see how many people got pregnant on the nuva. Hmm..also, did he go inside you or the pull out method?

He wasn't pulling out. I figured there was no sense in that since I had a form of BC, but it failed. I've hard of LOTS of people getting pregnant on it.

Nuva ring has a high failure rate. But most of the time it's user error. Because you have to put it in certain days and maintain certain temperatures til usage.

But people do get pregnant on it. I did. But I specifically asked when I got it if it was effected by anything and was told no. I was later informed by my OB that both antibiotics I was on for a massively horrid UTI messed with it and both caused other medications to more strongly effect it.

Yeah, I'm just really scared of getting pregnant again, and don't want to take any chances...and I know pull out method does not completely prevent it either. Ugh, why can't we just have an on/off button for the baby maker machine. Would solve a lot of problems lol
