How accurate are the dollar store HPT?

So I haven't had my period yet. I was due on the 24th, and I've been having it on the 24th for 4 months in a row now. I'm surprised it didn't show up. I've been trying to "induce" it (online said have vitamin c, pineapples, have sex/masturbate, drink lots of water, etc) and it hasn't arrived. I did a hpt (dollar store) on the 23rd and it was negative.

So I'm just wondering how accurate they are? Did I take it too early? Should I try another brand? Should I use the same brand later? Or am I just not pregnant?

With my last pregnancy I was given a blood test the day before my period was due and my HCG was at 180.

It was probably just too early. I took an 88 cent one the day my period was due and it was soooo faint that I wasn't even sure. Took one a week later and it was very noticeable. So try again :]

I'd say the same thing. Even after my period was missed it still took awhile for those to get all that dark.

I got a positive dollar store test a year ago.

I have a beautiful 3 month old little boy sleeping next to me  

They work  

I used it for my last pregnancy and it worked just fine they look like the ones the doctors use at office.

If that's true than it should have turned up positive....I'll test again just to make 100% sure though because I'm 12 days late

I used them both times and with this one, I was already due and it was still faint. They DO work, just not well for early testing. If you are late, it should work.

12 days late now, I think it's okay to test now xD

They can work at 9dpo. I had positive digital tests before my dollar store test even snowed a faint faint line
