YES. He'll eat corn... but, let's be real, that's not REALLY a veggie worth saying you eat

His mom never made him eat veggies... so he has this aversion to them now. Won't even try them.

Quoting Mama to William + 1:" Yeah, we have this problem. Generally I'll buy snacks for him and I don't snack so that isn't a problem. ... [snip!] ... I'll stir fry the chicken and rice with some broccoli and carrots. Things like that. It dirties more dishes, but it's worth it."

That's a good idea! Using the main ingredient in two dishes. I just didn't want to have to cook hamburger meat for him... then chicken for me... that's two dinners I could've made. I'll do what you said

Quoting kthx.:" I haven't tried Mio yet. But I'll get some! And the salad... probably not. Mainly because I don't get ... [snip!] ... Any ideas for sides? All I really make for sides are corn/peas/green beans (as far as veggies go). I want something different."

Turkey is good! Maybe with wheat bread?

For sides maybe do broccoli, rice, some more boring stuff. haha. I honestly hate veggies or anything remotely healthy. The only reason why I don't weigh 500 pounds is because we don't have any junk food here, we're too broke for that lol.

Didn't you recently get an xbox? If you wanna lose weight I definitely recommend the kinect. That thing has always kicked my ass.

Take a sandwich to work with you, and a small bag of chips they have the 100 calorie bags! And that saves a lot of money verses McDonald's!! Plus it's a hell of alot healthier! Also the mio stuff is decent but the zero calorie mixes are really good, and cheaper also!! I made hubby start taking a lunch every day, cut out sodas and candy and he has lost 50 lbs in 6 months! We also save $150 a month on fast food! Good luck : )

Pop is another thing   I've decided I'm done with it. SO drank 16 cans of pop in 2 days. He wants to blame it on his family coming over (3 people)... but, lets get real. Even if they drank 2 a piece, he still drank 10 in 2 days. And I don't see them drinking 2 a piece. That smurf gets expensive.. I'll stick to milk, water, and juice.

SO, though... he gets VERY bad withdraws from caffeine   And I hate seeing him like that..

Ew @ Brussels sprouts   I haven't ventured too far into veggies I like... just the boring corn, peas, green beans, and carrots. I've had broccoli and I don't like it. I need to try more.

The only one I got to try before I got pregnant was the one that came with it. I was researching good ones to buy literally a week before I found out I was pregnant lol. I think I was gonna go with the biggest loser but I'm not sure if it's actually any good.

Oh we got that one. The one that has the river rafting thing on it? I was so out of breath

I wanna try The Biggest Loser. I just don't have any dumbbells.. and I dunno if that game requires it, lol.

Tea is caffeinated, and can be sweetened with splenda or other sweeteners! Its much healthier than soda! I understand the struggle, but if you really want to keep the weight off he should support you, not bring you down! Also try the lower calorie snacks and stuff, hide the boxes, he will never know the difference! For example triscuts have low calorie crackers that taste exactly the same, or buy lean pockets instead of hot pockets... i know those arent the healthiest choices but its better than the regular stuff!

Well when you're at work u can snack on carrots with hummus or peanut butter. Yogurt.granola. smoothies. For lunch there are frozen meals by a company called "Amy's organic" .Thats what. Eat at work. I make a trip to wal-mart once a week to stock up. I eat healthy but whenever im with my BD I eat junk and processed food no veggies. If you Don't want to eat chicken and salads all the time try eating fish. Im sure if u made some salmon with a nice side like mac and cheese your SO would eat it.

DH and I have this same problem. We've gotten to where I make my own meal and we buy him the frozen foods that he likes, like pizza, tv dinners, corn dogs, etc. It works for us. Might cost a lil extra but at least this way we are both happy

As for work...I'd always take a cup of peaches or fruit coctail (no sugar added). Have you tried crystal light??? they have a lot of different flavors and is only 5 calories/glass when you mix it with your water

try some generally healthy meals and see if you can get him to try them.

Things like beef stew, Tofu stirfry, split pea soup, crockpot chicken (ok that one isn't super healthy, but it's not full of crap) Can be made easily. He can either eat it or wear it!
