labor signs?

What are some signs your in labor? I swear every time im in L&D they tell me Im having contractions, but I feel nothing. I never labored with sebby, so I wouldnt know what to do if Emma popped out & strangled me with her umbilical cord. Ive been having odd crampy feelings in my cervix, Ive had an upset stomach and gas increase, & just a general feeling like my vagina is going to fall out lol. Normal? This is so unlike my first pregnancy.

I had none. I actually drove myself to the hospital in labor and didnt know it.

Guess I should say I was going to get a water check and it was my water.

With DS I had no forewarning. I woke up with contractions seven minutes apart and that was it. I didn't have an increase in BH, I didn't have diarrhea, no changes in discharge, my water didn't break, I didn't have any bloody show - nothing.
This time I've gone though everything but my water breaking since Thursday and I still don't have a baby to show for it so I have no idea if my body is sucking or if I should expect to go into active labor sometime within the next few days.

I woke up thinking I had to go to the bathroom. All I ever felt during labor was pressure like I had to take a massive poo lol. I had a tint of blood so that is what made me decide to go in.

anything I should look for as cause for alarm? I have no clue...for all i know I could be in labor right now :/ i dont feel pain easy.

With my DD I had contractions for 3 days before she came. Then on the day she was born, I had a really bad pain wake me up and as soon as I sat up my waters broke. DS on the other hand I had nothing at all in the lead up to his birth. Just had a contraction come out of the blue and wake me up at 5:30am. Knew that it was it and went to the hospital.....5:30pm and he was born

I was in labor for 3 days with dd, bled lightly and lost mucous the whole time,, went in at 6 am on day 3 and they broke my water, and labored till 2 when the doc forced me to have a c-section because I was hemmaraging and her heart rate dropped. I had contractions 5 min apart and lasting almost a minute the whole time!! It was terrible!!

Honestly, I don't know. I was asking my midwife today when I should take things seriously and all he could tell me was that it was hard to tell. He said obviously if my water broke that would be a sure sign, but I don't even trust my judgement on that. When they went to break my water with DS there was nothing to break so I missed it somehow.

same here - both times. I was 8.5cm when I showed up for my induction with my daughter. Contractions had actually been 5 min apart for well over 2 months and that night they actually spaced out to 7-8 min apart, but were no more painful then the "BH" ones I had been getting for months. I guess it was a good thing i was being induced lol

Have you lost your mucus plug yet? I lost mine the day i went into labor. Of course i was contracting too.
