induce ?

my OB has been asking me if i want to get induced but ive been telling him i would wait till my due date next week which is Dec.1st . Im 39weeks is it a bad thing to get induced?

If you have reached/past your due date no...but it can be ALOT more painful and I'd your body isn't ready it can fail or end in c section...

I'd refuse till 41 weeks. If he's asking if you WANT to, there is no medical need, and its unnecessary.

I've seen so many of these posts today lol. Wait until your body and baby are ready. If there is no medical reason to induce, I would not.

My Dr asked me if I wanted to be induced as well. I told him not unless I went over 41 weeks. I think he likes to schedule inductions because it is more convenient for him.

wish i got the option! lol. even after my waters broke at 40 weeks they still made me wait 4 days to induce me even though i was contracting nice and regluar! lol.

I'd wait until I was 41 weeks to be induced, you may go into labour yourself. If you get induced labour is hell of a lot worse pain wise. Lets put it this way I had to get induced with my son who's now 6 & I swear i'd never go through that amount of pain again, i'd rather have a c-section than go through that
