19 months!!! *pics*

posted 27th Nov
Just felt like sharing that DS has been nursing for 19 months today!   I had planned on stopping one year from his due date since the doctors wanted me to try to go that long (he was 8 weeks early) but he didn't seem interested in stopping. I figured for sure he would be done by 18 months. Nope!! 19 months today and still nursing : ) He didn't nurse during the day today but he did at bedtime and fell right to sleep : ) He still nurses during the night too.
Everyone says it's weird and if he wasn't so small I "couldn't get away with it" but i don't care. I'm giving him the BEST there is and I'm damn proud of it!!
He's only 18 pounds but he eats like crazy anything you put in front of him (except bananas) and didn't really do solids until about a year old and skipped baby food due to allergies (plus he just didn't like them)
Anywho, just wanted to share since most people IRL don't really care too much and I know there's ladies on here who would appreciate it : )

Congrats mama! Such a blessing that's he's grown into such a healthy boy! and even more amazing that you're still giving him the gift of breastfeeding I hope DS wants to keep going as long as possible (I plan on at least a year... but if he wants longer I'll happily do so (although I might have to pump and feed him that way since I'm going back to school around then) but you're a BF inspiration

Thakns ladies!! DD was breastfed too and was a chunker but she was only 3 weeks early. I'm surprised he's not bigger with how much he eats but the doctor isn't concerned since he's still growing and healthy! : )

Great job!!! I have the feeling he will go until his 2nd birthday or really close to it. I'm not ready to stop, I wish my daughter had gone this long too!
