glucose test but no fasting?

I have my test at my next visit(I'll be 25 weeks) and I asked if I had to fast and they said no...the doctor said that when they did the glucose test they were also going to test for my liver enzymes since they're high...I swear I had to fast the last time I went in for my glucose test with LO #1..is this normal now?

I didnt fast for the one hour but i did for the three hour

I've never had to fast. just don't eat anything high in sugar before drinking the glucose stuff.

If it's a one hour there is no need to fast.

1 hour you don't need to fast, but to stay on the safe side, try NOT to eat any sweets or carbs right before, as they can make your levels go high and you'll have to go back JUST because of that.

Wth?? They told me to fast before my one hour the summer before last.... I was so hungry that morning I could've puked lol

i have my glucose test in 3 weeks they told me no eating after 10 pm the night before im only allowed to have water before during and after the test

My doc was the same way. For my first two anyway. Basically if you failed the one hour they did the three hour immediately, then if you failed again you came back in two weeks for another. But that was four years ago too.

I had to fast 8 hours before all my glucose tests and still failed.

thats what im thinking this is my 3 rd baby and i never had to fast before
