re: glucose test but no fasting?

The test is meant to see how well your body processes sugar...why would they make you fast, only to give you a glucose-packed soft drink?

So nothing interferes with the test. They want to see how your body processes what they give you. If you have other stuff in your system, it could change the results.

But it can't. If you're producing insulin normally, then your blood sugar should never be above a certain level because your pancreas produces insulin on demand to process it. The more sugar you eat, the more insulin your pancreas produces.

I never had to fast for either of mine.

I had to fast for my 3 hour though
