What books do your 4/5 year olds like?

We are doing a mostly book Christmas for DD, and I'm running out of ideas. So far we have Little Critter books (which she LOVES), Fancy Nancy and some Beatrix Potter.


What are some other good ones that will grow with her? She will be 4 in January, but already has very basic reading skills and I think that within the next 6 months will be reading by herself some.

My dd is 4 and just finished reading the Judy Blume box set of Fudge. This was my fav series as a kid.




Now these are older kids chapter books. But my dd reads really well for her age, so I gues depending on if you are reading them to her or not.? I am not sure of your childs reading abilities.

But she also likes any disney books, 101 dalmations, Aladdin,Cinderella etc...
She is a huge fan of Where's Waldo books as well, very little reading but fun in the end to find him. lol
