Not sure about Australia, but here in the states there are birth centers that are self pay and set up payment plans for you if you don't have insurance. It covers your prenatal care, waterbirth, and postpartum.

This. Mine it's $3,000 total without insurance.

Yeah mine was 2300 total with no insurance.
We traded services to pay it off so we didnt have to give her that much money.
