Personally I would back up away from this guy now. He needs to "test" out sex before a relationship starts? For me that doesn't seem like someone I'd want to try and be with at all. Infact I wouldn't want to.
If you are ok with it.. then that's something you need to think about.
But I honestly think dating and taking things slow, growing close emotinally first is what's best.

If you sleep with him to "see if hes attracted" to you, you will be set up for an emotional disaster. He clearly wants to smurf without a relationship. What happens when you do it and he still doesent want the relationship, just the booty call? Id dump him now, since it sounds like you actually want a relationship.

You know if there is any attraction first. It sounds like he wants to have no strings attached sex. You don't "try before you buy" when it comes to relationships, that's just stupid (not meaning you, but him). It seems like such a line too. . . And I wouldn't want to be with someone who felt that way. "Before I can decide if I want to be in a relationship with you, I need to find out how good our sex is." That's just silly. . . Relationships aren't marriage. . .

I'd back away from him personally. It's either a line he uses to get into bed with girls, or he honestly thinks that and has his priorities skewed IMO.
