No you do not. Unless you are still breast feeding another child, what you have is colostrum. Even women who are still BF another child, their milk turns back into colostrum for the new baby.

They didnt close ip before and my ob said i'd be better off keeping them in because if they do heal the scar tissue could keep me from breast feeding at all

it's colostrum. The hormones that are given off after/during birth which is what helps produces the milk...

What's gross? I would just keep then out for awhile. Honestly there's a great chance your nipples will get sore the first few weeks anyway. Maybe once you get into the groove you will be able to put the rings back in

So then you need to deal with taking them out every two or so hours when your daughter wakes up to feed or don't BF at all. If the piercer didn't screw up, there should not be enough scar tissue to prevent you from BF. Your OB is just that, an OB, not a piercer.
