I think that's pretty normal about the feeding. My LO was like that, too.

My son was like that for over a year, its normal up until about 6mths, thats when they should definitely be sleeping longer and such. do you have a bssinett or pack and play you can put by you so maybe just some soothing shhh will be ok and you wont have to hold him?

Quoting Heather12398:" k thanks ladies, he's my first so I'm not sure about anything haha. We've tried close to everything with ... [snip!] ... them all. Swaddeling, he hates his hangs being down. Umm, white noise...CIO (not for long) and nothing works so far! "

13 weeks I think is too early for any kind of CIO. But, I'm that mom that won't let DS even whine because I feel HORRIBLE about it. My LO hated being swaddled, too. I would just hold him until he was totally out and veeeeery slooooowly get up and put him in his bassinet.

DD turned 3 months yesterday, she wakes every 2 hours to feed. We cosleep to make it easier on both of us and she sleeps better next to me. These days won't last forever.

This is what I did too. My son would fall asleep on the bottle and I would switch it out for a paci and very slowly put him to bed. I too think that 13 weeks is way too young for any kind of CIO. I've heard of babies sleeping better with sleep positioners so they are on a slight incline. Helps with digestion. But you can also put a blanket or something under the head of the mattress so it is tilted.

Have you tried different kind of paci's? We went through like 4 types before we found one that works. My son slept on his boppy alot with my husband or me on the couch.

I think we've tried 4 different pacis, none of them worked. He loves sucking on our finger but nothing else. He also won't take bottles, he did OK with them in the beginning if I pumped and someone came over so I could nap. But for the last few weeks he won't take one period. Which is making me nervous because next week I'm getting an endoscopy (sp?) and won't be able to nurse him for about 4 hours....for bottles weve tried Dr Brown, Medela, Advent, umm and one other can't remember.

Did you try Tommee Tippee or breastflow?

Don't worry about not nursing for 4 hours. If he is hungry enough he will take a bottle. I used Tomme Tippee bottles when I pumped and Avent paci's. Sorry you aren't getting any sleep. Make your hubby bring him to you to nurse on the nights before he has a day off. That way you are a little bit more comfortable and get a little bit more sleep. If you don't work take naps when Carter does. Who cares about the house work. It will be there tomorrow and even the next day. Thats what I think.
