Maybe you can restore them if he didn't empty thru recycle bin. If not, a goodncomputer shop can recover, for a cost.

Did he do a proper delete or can you recover them from the Recyle Bin? You may be able to get a computer wizard to restore them even if he did a proper delete...

my uncle had a virus wipe everything, even caused hardware malfunction. they recovered his. it was expensive (but his was wayyyy worse than an accidental delete).
