switching OB's

posted 26th Nov
so my ob is not very talkative. and this being my first child i like to talk and know what is going on.. he dont tell me what any of my blood work says.. or what my papsmere said... and mostly of all when i asked about pains i was having they told me i probably just pulled a muscel...

now my friends have told me the ob they seen was not like this.. they told you wat to expect in the next four weeks... asked loads of questions about how mommy was doing.. and gave them a chance to ask questions... they actually seemed to care..

so i am 17 weeks... do you think its too late to change OB's? or do you think i should even change?

I changed my ob at 35 weeks, its hard to find a new doc in mid to late pregnancy but if you are not happy with your doctor just think how annoyed you are going to be when you are in labor!

I changed mine at 16 weeks, my first ob was just like that. And he couldn't ever make me feel better about what was going on. I ended up switching to a dr that I have to drive 1 hour and 15 mins to get to and I am VERY glad I did, I have had a wonderful pregnancy experience ever since. Hope you find a dr, you trust and feel comfortable with b/c it's pretty important I think .

I changed when I was 30wks pregnant for the same reason I couldn't be happier with the Dr I have now. Just make sure the Dr is still taking patients. My old Dr didn't answer my questions and seeing that this is also my first I have alot of questions and concerns and he acted like he just didn't have time for it so I switch. GL
