Did he say how soon he wants to get married? When i got engaged it was an "i want to marry you but don't know when" type of thing, lol. Just talk to him and make sure you're both on the same page about everything!

Hubby picked our date. I wanted a spring wedding and he wanted May 1 but it was a friday so we went with May 2.

We had a small wedding at our local civic center, I didn't want a reception but my dad insisted. They had an option for refreshments and cake after but dad wanted the whole sit down thing so we did that.

It seemed more like that, I want to marry you but don't know when type of thing. lol I'm nervous to get married so fast. Overwhelmed I should say.   I guess I better talk to him! haha

depends on what you want. Date is going to be the first thing you do. And that is going to be dependent on how you want the weather to be and when you're free. Thats about it lol, other then that if you dont have a special date that stands out to you, base it on weather and whether you're going to do in or outdoors.
after that you decide how many ppl you wanna have. Is it close friends and family only, or are you inviting everyone cause you like the perks that come with a larger amount of gifts lol
after you decide that you are better set to decide the bridesmaids and groomsmen because if its a small wedding you wont have many, dont want half the ppl in attendance standing up there ya know?? lol after that you start asking ppl to be a bridesmaid or groomsman, then you send out save the dates so ppl know that day of your wedding. And the list goes on and on...

I was thinking summer because I really like yellow/orange colors for flowers and whatnot!   Maybe early fall.

Was that expensive to do? I know how costly my baby shower was, I can't imagine how much a wedding/reception would be.

So don't rush it! Talk it over with him, and just enjoy your time together like before you got engaged, it's just a promise to go further some day, not an ultimatum, : )

I'd pick a meaningful date! Like the day you met or started dating. Or an anniversary of the day he proposed to you. Maybe something like that?

That is a good idea. Too bad I don't like either date. haha We started dating a week after DD's birthday so June is wayyyy too busy for me. and he proposed Nov 23 and I hate November. Lol!  

I really like October   I'll have to ask him. haha maybe 2014 though.
