Christmas plans if father is involved?

posted 26th Nov
what are your Xmas plans if the father is involved but you are not together...??? I'm so confused. me and BD have been on/off for the past year. >> now we are OVER!!! He has a big family and we always do xmas over there because there are more kids for our son to play with. - he has half brothers 10,15 & lots cousins. my family is mostly adults and only 2 kids if my cousin decides to show up with her girls- if not no kids. This xmas is going to be hard on me because we are no together so im just looking for similar stories, advice.

Do y'all have to spend Christmas together???? If not then you have him in the morning & let BD have him that afternoon or vice versa

Me and BD Do every other christmas.. like last year I had her and this year he has her so she would be able to see all my family and then the next she would be able to see all his family. Gonna miss my little lovebug but i know she will have so much fun.. and when she gets back she can open up all her gifts and we can have our own christmas....

FYI- thats what we are suppose to do according to the child support order... but it works out good

Let him do Christmas Eve and Christmas morning with you and Christmas afternoon and the day after with his father.

We alternate every year. One year one of us will get DS Christmas morning and Christmas Eve, then later in the day he spends the day with the other family.

We are together, but we do the weekend before with my family, and the weekend after with his family, and then spend the actual holiday at home with just us and my brother because he lives close by and has no other family (he doesn't get along with anyone). It really cuts down on drama. But in your situation maybe share the days. Maybe you have him for Christmas Eve and him have him for Christmas Day or vice versa... Good Luck

i don't know what i would do if i had to miss christmas with my child, i would go completely MAD,i don't know how some women could take it. I try to schedule something before or after christmas because with all the cleaning up up it gets CRAZY on christmas day. Plus dd of course wants to play with her new stuff etc. i guess if it was just the 2 of us it'd be easier/different but i'm living with my parents right now and there should be family time there to,that's why it's quite busy.

My ex and I split in August. We are spending Christmas together as a family. He is flying out and staying with us for a week. I hope we can do holidays like this every year because it will benefit our daughter.
