Behind on child suport question

My LO's dad is 1,200+ dollars behind on child suport he hasn't made a payment in three weeks. He was having money taken out of his checks which is required by law in MI. I think he quit that job because they were taking half of his check. I texted him about it and he says he still working there and he's paid. Which is clearly a line. In pretty sure he's gotten another job according to someone who worked with him at his last job, it might be cash.

When can I do something about this? How do I get him to not screw me over?

If he's getting paid under the table, unless you have hard evidence, I don't think there's anything you can do.
They'd probably take it back to court after so long, he could claim he's unemployed, and they'd probably lower the C/S...
I'm sorry, maybe contact your case worker and see if there's a reason that it stopped being taken out of his checks in case it's some kind of error?

And you'd have to call the courts and let them know you have reasons to believe he has a new job he's not reporting. Normally it takes 30-60 days for it to change in their system.

And I don't blame him, I'd be upset too if they were taking half my paycheck for ONE child. Lol.

LOL no way! He only pays like 400 a month! He has been behind for months, since he got the order he hasn't ever paid it all! I'm smurfing sick of it. He's been behind since the start and it is getting out of hand. I'm sick of hearing about all the pointless smurf he's buying for himself when he isn't even help pay for daycare. He has no bills and no sence of responsibility.

Ah, I'm sorry, but that was my problem with BD for a while. He was living on the street (He chose to, cocaine habit) and doing random jobs to pay for his habit. Then he ended up going to Job Corps and the judge granted me $187 monthly.
It could very well just be an error though. I can't tell you how bad my C/S agency has smurfed up repeatedly lol, I wouldn't doubt an error at all.

It could be that his job changed how they deposit the money.... My ex's job screws me royally.. for a few months they will send the money in weekly, then change it to bi weekly... and for the past few months have only been sending the money in once a month. Contact your case worker and see if that is the case, if not, they will follow up with his work and possible set up another court date.
