I know an older woman exactly like that. Condescending about every-smurfing-thing. Drives me nuts. Just brush it off. Bring in the note and don't say anything to her except the usual "hi" and "bye."

That is her to a T. She even acts surprised like "Oh, you have money? Surprising." when I pay for his daycare (I get childcare assistance for education but still have to pay some out of pocket).
Ahh, I'll just take in the note Wednesday (Since we want to get the stool sample tomorrow) and be done with it. She'll probably (Hopefully) think more in depth before jumping to such extreme conclusions next time.
