Well damn, obviously she didn't burn her kid so just smurfing drop it. Point is she was quick to judge her. She didn't simply ask her what happened, she automatically assumed she hurt her child. She's a bitch for coming accross as just that...a bitch, instead of being more professional about it.

I really don't want to change, it IS an excellent daycare.
The security there is top notch. Locked doors, keypads, no one gets in if they don't know the code or have photo ID, they do sooo many activities that LO loves, I'm constantly getting to take his art home, and he has so much fun there.
I just don't want this to ever happen again. I reckon I will call the doctor tomorrow and get a note faxed to me and give it to her.

I'd never really seen one like LO's before since I've not been around a lot of kids before, and it was his first yeast infection. It looked like a diaper rash, but really irritated. She's an older lady though, she's been running that daycare for around 20 years. Maybe she just hasn't been changing a lot of diapers since she started running it.

And if she was that concerned she should have went to the authorities first. Not given a chance to beat the kid (assuming she was guilty) between the confrontation and when she called the police.

Oh, she's older? Lol, that explains it. Old people can be so stuck in their way that everything they think/do/say is right and everything you think/do/say is wrong. When I worked in childcare there was this older woman who freaked out that this infant's penis tip was a bit blue. She said it was bruised and that someone was definitely abusing him. I was like um no, he's just been circumcised.

That's how I figured it worked.
I mean, if you seriously thought someone was harming their child, why would you let that parent know that you're on to them, and then let the child go home with them where there's no security cameras, no witnesses, no cops?
Who knows, she may have reported me to CPS before confronting me. Well, CPS can come out here, check out my home, check out my kid, whatever they need to do. Absolutely nothing to hide.

I've always sensed that she doesn't like me, but I always just assume it's for the normal reasons. I'm young, tattooed in visible places, not the typical local redneck, etc. I don't take it to heart, I know most older people just didn't grow up around that being 'normal'.

It is possible that maybe she thought it was accidental and was just being super condescending about it. Just the way she was acting though made it feel like she expected me to say, if it was a burn and accidental, "OH YEAH. Yeah, we were drinking and smoking crack around a bon fire, I thought it'd be super cool to watch the kid fly and he hit a burning stick. LOL It was cool though."
Wasn't a hint of sympathy or empathy.
