Oh wow. What a bitch. I'm sorry she was so quick to judge you. You did the right thing by getting him an appointment. And now you have proof to shove in her face.

That's kind of what I thought.
I mean, unless I had something like Munchhausen syndrome (I think that's the right one), why would I intentionally burn my child and then go through the trouble of putting cream on it and changing bandages frequently? I assume if I were sadistic enough to burn a kid, I'd be sadistic enough to let the wound fester.

I guess just be glad she cares enough to confront you about it. A lot of daycare providers don't give a smurf.

Give her a doctor's note.

This is the second daycare I've had LO in. The first one (I seem to have horrible luck with daycares...) gave him cinnamon after he'd been going there for 9 months and I'd filled out, as well as his doctor, stacks of paper work saying no cinnamon. He had an allergic reaction, my mom was closer to the daycare so she left, bought benadryl and had to go administer it. His doctor since prescribed an epi-pen.
I loved this daycare though   They're everything I wanted them to be, they're super super good with LO, and I really hate to move him again.

I don't think it's that she confronted me, I think it's the way she did it.
She could have went about the situation completely different, but she acted like I was guilty from the get go...

What if she does that to someone actually harming their child and they take out the anger of it ON the kid? :/ She was in the wrong. She should've reported it if she felt that strongly about it.

I would take her the doctor note, then find another daycare.

I'd be quick to judge someone I thought was burning their kid. I wouldn't be all sweet about it. "Aw, did she just fall on your hot iron? That's okay."

I'm sure that's protocol anyhow, but she probably wasn't sure about it and didn't want to cause any trouble if it was nothing. That's a bell that can't be unrung, ya know?

Well I don't think you need to find another daycare, unless you feel really uncomfortable going back there. The woman obviously does care about your kid. But to stop any further accusations, I'd bring in the doctor's note that said it's a rash.

Well considering they arent supposed to confront the parent in the first place, that was out of line.

I don't think that was her intention at all...
She refused to believe me when I said it was a diaper rash and kept saying it looked like a burn, and giving me that "Go ahead, tell me you beat your kid" look. That's why I gave up, walked away, got LO and called the doctor.

My daughter got an extreme version of fifths disease at 9 months it started around her eyes and hand.. looked like hives I took her to the er. They said it was a reaction to something and I needed to find it. The next day it was her entire body I rushed to the er thinking something wad horribly wrong. The Dr asked if I sprayed her with cleaner!!!!! I told him to get out of my room and to call my Dr and ask him to come in. He did and in some not so nice way informed the other Dr of his stupidity! It happens to the best of us. Take a note to the lady keep your daycare and smile every time you see her
