What can I do to improve it? I feel like its to bright, but Im not sure if its just the computer Im using or not. I am by no means a professional, I had a friend in town and she let me practice on her and have some fun.

Hmm. I like it the colors/subject is in focus, but the lines not all being straight drives me a little nuts (the fence posts). The one on the right is perfectly straight, and the ones on the left aren't.

I would warm it up a little. And maybe burn around the edges to make the hands and U/S pop.

Crop it! Subject shouldn't be in the exact center of the picture, also I would darken the colors a bit.

I would fix the blown out areas. If you shot in RAW that would be very easy to do.

I like the idea behind it, the pose, i do this pose a lot with pregnant women.

It's not in sharp focus on the picture like it should be, looks like the focus fell on the women/belly

If it were me, I would probably rotate it so that the fence lines were equally crooked. Lol.

Soften the background/fence...to much focal texture in that and her sweater/scarf pull the eye away from the US pic.

for these type of photos, I don't mind them not following the rule of thirds.

As far as composure the only thing I don't like is that the fence is straight on one side and not the other. And that the corner of the picture is folded up so there is a lot of reflection on it.

I think if the depth of field was shorter, it wouldn't bother me so much, but I am stuck on the rule of thirds..lol

That is very nice. Still bugs me though with everything being in the center. It is a very nice picture though.
