did anyone else go for this??

I had to go for my 25 week glucose test today :/ the nurse messed the whole test up and asked me too come back next week   i really dont think i need to go back or get the test done at all it seems like a waste of time and the drink they gave me was awful i actually boaked after the first glass i wasted 2 whole hours i was not one bit pleased

Yes you need to complete the test. Having undiagnosed GD can be bad for you and the baby.

here you HAVE to get it done, it's not an optional test.

Usually it is mandatory just for the simple fact if you do have GD, you may be put as high risk and they monitor the baby closer because of it. Mine was nasty too, but the whole pregnancy process isn't meant to be pretty.

i havnt done mine yet but i told my doc i didnt want to do the glucose drink so she ordered a test where i can just eat breakfast after the first blood draw instead of drinking the drink.

how did your test get messed up?

the only reason im thinking of not bothering is because the midwife wasnt even going to send me for the test in the first place because im just slightly over weight

that doesn't have anything to do with anything lol. i'm considered obese and i got it done. if you're overweight then you NEED to get it done.

It's optional where I live. I didn't get it done.

it was an optional choice for me and now im opting not to get it done

yeah it was optional for me too   im not going back for it im opting not to have it done again
