Fever question

Today is the third day he's had a fever. No other symptoms, which is sorta odd.
Fever is now 102 after taking Tylenol an hr ago. It was 103.2
I'm a bit worried bc even with the medicine it's not dropping down much at all, and after 3 hrs it shoots back up. It also shoots up more in the evenings, so will likely get higher as the day goes on.
What would you do? Take him to the ER, his doctor is closed for the day or bring him to the doctor in the morning.

Is he still acting like his normal self? I hear teething can produce a fever, maybe thats it. I would keep a close eye on it and take him in the morning.

I'd probably go to the er or urgent care. Maybe he has an ear infection...?

He just wants to lay on me and be held. I can't put him down and he doesn't want to play with anything. He feels like crap you can see it in his face.
He's fever is too high for teething, it's 103 which is like 39.5 c

I'm thinking maybe an ear ache but he doesn't seem like it. No ear sensitivity or anything. I hate sick babies

A couple weeks ago both DDs had ear infections. My oldest (4) never said her ear hurt and it was pretty bad. My youngest (1) never gave any sign that her ear was hurting or achy, she had a mild rest infection. Have you called his pedi? ! Personally I would take him to the er or urgent care. I'm a worry wort though lol. I hope he feels better soon!
Have you tried luke warm baths?

DS just turned 1 on Friday and is acting the same way with temp. Won't let me put him down, been holding him since 5am. My heart hurts for him and not knowing what's going on is worse. Good luck and hope he gets better soon.

my first thought was a possible ear infection. my oldest son had double ear infections constantly for the first year of his life until he finally got tubes (still would get ear infections after, but not as frequent). he NEVER pulled on his ear or indicated his ear hurt. he would just get a fever and want to snuggle. he will be 5 in february, and only in the past couple months has he actually told me when his ear was hurting

Just got back from the walk in clinic. He tested negative for the flu but his ear is slightly red so he prescribed antibiotics.
